Fae Beauty

01 / Overview

The Vision

We provided editorial pacing and color grading for Fae Beauty's commercial brand campaign. The edit prioritizes raw skin textures and natural kinetic movement, avoiding traditional beauty commercial tropes.

02 / The Challenge

The Hurdle

Beauty campaigns frequently rely on heavy digital smoothing. Our challenge was preserving the organic film grain and tactile texture of the footage while maintaining a premium high-fashion polish.

03 / The Outcome

The Impact

A high-fashion brand campaign with a distinct analog feel, matching raw, textured imagery with precise editorial pacing and custom color grading.

05 / The Creative Decision

The Decision

We graded toward texture instead of away from it. Pores, grain, the unevenness of real light falling on real skin.

It is the harder grade to hold, because every correction downstream wants to smooth it back out. We held it because a product that promises to work on real skin should be photographed on skin that looks real. Softening it would have made the film prettier and the claim less believable.

06 / Why It Mattered

Why It Mattered

Luxury is not created by an expensive camera. It is created when every decision inside the frame points at the same perception. A beauty brand competing on ingredient claims has to look like it belongs in the premium tier before anyone reads a word of copy. This film was built to move perceived value before the product was introduced — the part of the purchase that happens fastest and costs the most to correct later.
